PATRIOTS DAY IN MIDDLETOWN VA

Update coming with photos of the PATRIOTS DAY event held 22 July 2017 Saturday:

.

It was a great event.

The crowd hungered for it on a hot day that got hit with the storm in the afternoon.

.

Patriots Day in Middletown VA was organized by the

Colonial James Wood II Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution.

.

And . . .

Mayor Charles Harbaugh IV of Middletown listed thanks also to, “the committee of guys who I had the pleasure of working with on this the last 5 months: Raymond D SteeleWayne Barringer, Todd Golding, Robert Andrews, Brett Osborn, Dale Corey and Ralph Pierce. “

.

All for a good cause too – the Middletown Veterans Memorial . . .

.

.

There were Rebels, I mean Patriots there.
And the King’s men were there.
And Muskets were fired before the Rain
On a beautiful field of Battle overlooking the Mountains.

.

.

Thanks to all the re-enactors, lovers of history, the interested audience, the people who cared about the Veterans of War.
