Free Reenactment at 11:00 and 2:00 and Fireworks show at dusk for the community. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and join us this Saturday!

.

MIDDLETOWN, VA- Join the Town of Middletown and the Colonel James Wood, II Chapter of Sons of the American Revolution on Saturday, July 21st from 10 am to 4 pm at the town’s Veterans Memorial, as they celebrate our country’s history at the 2nd Annual Patriot Pride Day.

.

Experience what Continental and British Army Encampments were like; Watch two battle reenactments, the Shenandoah Valley’s only Revolutionary War reenactments; Enjoy a parade of color guards. In addition, you can tour a World War II era campsite and see military vehicles of the time. There will be food available for purchase and free water to help you keep cool. You can also buy into the 50/50 raffle, which benefits the Middletown Veterans Memorial.

There will be a tribute to the fallen as well as multiple patriotic presentations that will round out the events. The day’s festivities will culminate with spectacular fireworks sponsored by Powerscreen Mid Atlantic at the Veterans Memorial at 9 pm.

“Powerscreen Mid Atlantic is proud to be a part of tradition that celebrates America’s heritage,” said Marco Furman, Middletown resident and Powerscreen Mid Atlantic sales representative. “It is a small price to pay to be a contributing member of a wonderful community. We look forward to the smiles and memories this show will bring to everyone.”

Middletown’s Mayor Charles Harbaugh IV said, “We are really looking forward to the growth and success of this event. The fireworks that night will add a special, patriotic touch. I would like to thank my committee who helped spend the last six months working on this event.”

On a beautiful field of Battle overlooking the Mountains.

Lord Mayor Charles Harbaugh IV of Middletown

is organizing Crown Forces 2 restore order for the King.

.

He has a couple of the Guards Regiment,

four from an F&I unit,

1 Lt Infantry man from the 42nd RHR (Brett)

and working on a couple of men from the Queens Rangers.

.

Trying to have to opposing forces of ten each.

.

Doing two skirmishes, each side gets a victory.

Mayor working on libations at Wayside Inn or Irish pub.

Looking forward to more help 4 the Crown Forces.

General Braddock with the Virginia “Blues” at Fairfax County VA 275th Anniversary,

The 4 from the F&I group are probably Mercers Co. here in Winchester.

Would do 60th light impression.

Red coats if have ’em, red waistcoat a must. British impression.

Will try to find out more.
